FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: “LANDAU WATCH PARTY” SCHEDULED

Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. has captured the hearts of America with his Sinatra-style, warm personality, and genuine heart. His musical talent has now landed him in the finals of a national talent competition. Murphy competed in the semi-finals on Tuesday, August 30, and it was announced he made it to the final round on Wednesday, August 31.
The Hatfield-McCoy Convention and Visitors Bureau along with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce hosted a “Watch Party” for the semi-finals at Fountain Place Cinema 8. More than 500 local fans, friends, and family members showed their support for Landau by attending the event. The CVB has now announced that it will hold an additional “Watch Party” this coming Tuesday, September 6, 2011, to once again cheer on Landau as he competes for $1,000,000 in the final round of the competition.
With this “Watch Party” the CVB wants to celebrate Landau’s success and the pride he has instilled in the citizens of Logan County and West Virginia. The party will once again be held at the Fountain Place Cinema 8 in Logan, but more events and entertainment will also be featured. Beginning at 7:00 PM, there will be inflatables set up outside of the theatre for children to enjoy. There will also be several contests during the party including a sign contest, a Landau look-alike contest, and a Frank Sinatra look-alike contest.
Admission to the “Watch Party” is free; however, a ticket is needed to enter. Tickets can be obtained beginning Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM at the Hatfield-McCoy Convention and Visitors Bureau’s office at 300 Main Street in downtown Logan.
